About the event
Join SIMA Ballet Folklórico for our annual recital, La Tercera Raíz, an evening dedicated to exploring and celebrating the African influence and Afro-descendance in Mexico.
Through traditional Mexican folklórico dance, music, costumes, and storytelling, our dancers will take audiences on a journey through the generations, highlighting the cultural contributions and traditions that emerged from the African presence in Mexico and became part of Mexico’s rich cultural identity.
This special presentation celebrates the diversity of Mexican culture and the roots that continue to shape and transcend generations.
