Teacher Edgar Yepez

With more than 43 years of experience in Mexican folkloric dance, Maestra María de los Ángeles Luna Ramírez has built an exceptional career as a dancer, choreographer, and educator. A distinguished member of the Ballet Folklórico de la Universidad Veracruzana, she performed as a soloist for 27 years and has served as Assistant Director and Choreographer since 2010.

Throughout her career, she has represented Mexico on stages across Europe, Latin America, and the United States, promoting the richness of Mexican folklore through international tours and cultural exchanges. As an educator, she has trained generations of dancers through her work with universities, dance institutions, and cultural organizations.

Recognized for her artistic excellence and dedication to preserving traditional Mexican dance, she has received numerous awards and honors and currently serves as a member of the INBAL Council (2025–present), continuing her commitment to the growth and promotion of Mexican culture.
